Description
In Pelekasis's work In the Barn, it is not only the freedom of the painting, the successful structuring of the picture, and the colour combinations, but also the way that the light and the colours are used for the rendering of shadow which bear witness to the artist's gift in producing simple 'naturalistic' scenes in the careful depiction of a barn.
