Fishing in the lake of Yannena

Born in 1953 in Kostaniani. He received his first painting lessons from the Ioannina painter Georgios Kazakos and later studied painting at the
Preliminary Workshop of the Athens School of Fine Arts under Nikos Nikolaou. His principal studies were at the Athens School of Fine Arts Printmaking Studio under the tutelage of Kostas Grammatopoulos. He also attended a book printing workshop under Yannis Papadakis and lectures by Pantelis Prevelakis, Pavlos Mylonas, Antonios Danassis-Afentakis, and Marina Lambraki-Plaka. He graduated in 1987 with distinction. In 1988 he secured a three-year Greek state scholarship for postgraduate studies in printmaking under Yannis Papadakis.
