He studied decoration in Thessaloniki and was a pupil in Dimitris Kratas’ studio. He lives and works in Makrynitsa Pelion. He has presented his work in one-man shows and group exhibitions in Greek and German cities. He has directed plays for the theatre and has painted posters, of which the one for the “Eletheria Thrakis” in 1984 was awarded first prize.
Memories from history and antiquity, full-scale or fragmentary sculpted figures constitute the world of Angelidis’ painting.

Description
The realistic rendering of the Greek knocker combined with the use of gold leaves leads to transcendental worlds, while the mask-like face that emerge in strict perspectives, give his works a metaphysical character.
