1878-1935. He studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts and in 1902 visited Mount Athos to study art; he then went to Russia, where he studied contemporary Russian religious icon painting. He taught in secondary education in Sparta. He also taught Byzantine and art history at City College of New York in the USA. He held solo exhibitions, and in 1938 a retrospective of his work was held at Stratigopoulou Gallery. He also partipated in group exhibitions. He published studies on monuments of Byzantine and post- Byzantine art.
