Still Life, 1977

Born in Myrina, Lemnos, in 1951. She studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts under G. Mavroides (1970-1974) on a Greek state scholarship and religious icon painting under K. Xynopoulos (1972-1974). On a Dutch government scholarship, she pursued further studies at the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam under H. Op de Laak. While living in Paris, she became familiar with contemporary art movements. Her work falls under expressionism, with elements of abstraction, and a powerful palette. She works as an art teacher in secondary education. Her works can be found in the Museum of Modern Art in Amsterdam.
