Description
I Will Give You Your Food Day by Day, of 1990, comes from a series of works consisting of stories of hermits, which shows a scene from the life of an elder, a hermit with a prostitute. These works are sometimes influenced by the technique of Byzantine art and sometimes combine the features of gospel miniatures with the illustrations of comics or fairy tales. Zacharioudakis's pictures, by one means or the other, emit a poeticism and are imbued with allusive symbolisms, in the narration of myths of cross-cultural origins and from contemporary everyday life.
