Dance at Metsovo, 1975

In Dance at Metsovo, the human figure and its action are the main motif. A crowd of people fills the picture, forming a circle around the spot intended for the dance. Of particular interest in this work is the structure of the composition, in which vertical features, such as the trees like sword blades which rise vertically on the right correspond to the large number of vertical depictions of people, while the spreading tree on the left answers to the circular arrangement of the dance.
