Philippiada, 1983

In the work Philippiada, the joie de vivre is expressed in the springtime atmosphere of the location, the church with the storks' nest on its bell-tower, the storks flying around, and the dazzling white wall on which the spring sunshine is reflected. This brilliant white is the chief characteristic of the work of Koutsouris.
